What this site is

singaporemrt.org is an independent guide to Singapore’s MRT and LRT. It is not the website of LTA, SMRT or SBS Transit, and it is not affiliated with any of them: we do not sell fares or cards and we cannot handle a complaint or a refund.

What we do is put in one place a page for every line and station, fares and cards, hours, the map and a route planner, written to be read on a phone on the platform. The site is funded by advertising.

What the October 2026 review found

On October 11, 2026 we checked every page against the operators’ own information.

Places. Changi Airport station is between Terminals 2 and 3, not under Jewel. The North South and East West lines meet at Jurong East but do not share track beyond it. The port at Tuas is operated by PSA, not by Resorts World Sentosa.

The LRT. The Sengkang and Punggol loops run in both directions, not one way; and LRT stations were labelled as MRT stations in their titles. Ten Mile Junction closed in 2019 for the Bukit Panjang LRT renewal, not because a mall was redeveloped.

Out-of-date notices. A Downtown Line early-closure notice was still shown as current after it ended, and several stations were described as “new” or “the newest”. They are now dated instead; the Johor Bahru–Singapore RTS Link start is given as February 2027.

What is live and what is not

Nothing on this site is live. The status board shows whether each line is inside its published operating hours; for disruptions, follow LTA, SMRT and SBS Transit.

Where each fact comes from

Lines, stations and openings: LTA announcements and Land Transport Guru.

Fares and cards: the Public Transport Council and SimplyGo.

What is near each station: our own writing, checked against the map.

When we get it wrong

We fix it and we say what was fixed — this page is the example. If something does not add up, write to [email protected].

Who is behind this site

This site is run by the team at GoRandom, a small group based in the Basque Country in Spain who do two things that go together better than they sound: travel, and build websites.

Singapore is not yet one of the cities we have set foot in — we are up to twenty and we move slowly. We would rather say so than pretend otherwise: what you read here does not come from our memories, it comes from what the operator publishes and from checking work we can show you.

The other half of what we know how to do is web development, and this site is the excuse to put the two together. We do not leave it sitting there: every fare and every timetable carries its source and the date we checked it, and they get revised when the operator changes something. The last thorough revision was on October 11, 2026, when every line and station page was checked against LTA, SBS Transit, SMRT and SimplyGo.

He decides what goes up, checks the data before it does, and answers the email. If you find a fare that has expired or a timetable that no longer holds, there is a specific person to write to.
