Segar station in detail

Segar, whose name means "fresh" in Malay, is a straightforward residential stop between Fajar and Jelapang with schools and HDB blocks making up most of its catchment. There's a coffee shop and the usual small parade of shops at ground level, but nothing that would draw anyone from outside the estate. From Bukit Panjang, Service A is the shorter way round — about three stops against five the other way on Service B — which matters more here than at most stations because the difference is genuinely noticeable at off-peak headways.
