HarbourFront station in detail

The southern end of the North East Line surfaces right beside VivoCity, Singapore's largest shopping mall, and the departure point for the Sentosa Express monorail to the resort island. HarbourFront has been an interchange since the station opened in 2003, and since 12 July 2026 it has taken on a second role: the closing point of the newly completed Circle Line loop, so trains for both directions of CC29 now meet here. Above ground, the Singapore Cruise Centre sends ocean liners out to the region, and the old St James Power Station — a decommissioned coal plant — has been reborn as an events venue. For most visitors, though, this is simply the gateway to Sentosa's beaches, Universal Studios and the cable car up to Mount Faber.
Changing lines here is free. You stay inside the paid area and the fare is worked out once, from the distance of your whole journey.

Buy Sentosa admission or your cable car ticket before leaving VivoCity — queues build up fast at weekends. The Sentosa Express is cheaper and quicker than the cable car, and its platform sits inside the air-conditioned mall.
