Stadium station in detail

Stadium opened in 2010 built directly beneath the Singapore Sports Hub, and its exits lead straight onto the concourse shared by the National Stadium, the OCBC Aquatic Centre and Kallang Wave Mall. On a normal day it is a fairly quiet stop on the eastern arc of the loop; on the night of a major concert, a football international or a National Day Parade rehearsal, it becomes one of the busiest stations on the network, with staff and barriers deployed to manage the crowds streaming down from the stadium above. The Kallang River and its park connector run along one side of the site, giving a quieter way out on foot for anyone who prefers to walk before boarding a train.

Facilities at Stadium
On major event nights, exit queues at Stadium can take 20 to 30 minutes; walking one stop to Nicoll Highway or Mountbatten before boarding is often quicker than waiting it out on the concourse.

Stadium — frequently asked questions
Only the Circle Line calls here — Stadium is not an interchange. The nearest changes are Paya Lebar for the East West Line a couple of stops on, or Promenade for the Downtown Line a few stops back towards town.
Directly linked; the station’s exits open onto the Sports Hub concourse, so it is a two to three-minute walk from the platform to the stadium gates, and the same route serves the Aquatic Centre and Kallang Wave Mall.
Yes — expect queues after major concerts or matches. Staff manage crowds with barriers, and boarding one stop away at Nicoll Highway or Mountbatten sometimes helps.
