Sumang MRT station
PG LRT · PW6
Sumang station in detail

Sumang is named after Wak Sumang, one of the founders of the original Punggol village, a small thread of local history running through an otherwise thoroughly modern LRT stop. It opened in 2014 as part of the West Loop's first phase and serves the HDB blocks of this stretch of the Northshore precinct, six stops out from Punggol. There's a coffee shop and the usual small parade of shops, nothing more — this is a station for residents rather than visitors, with the loop's final stop, Soo Teck, just one hop further on.
