Tampines West station in detail

Tampines West MRT station in Singapore — Downtown Line (DT31)
DT31

Tampines West serves the residential estates of Tampines Palmspring and Tampines Polyview, on the quieter, western edge of the wider Tampines new town. SAFRA Tampines, the community and recreation clubhouse, is within walking distance, along with East View Primary School and a scatter of neighbourhood shops along Tampines Avenue 4. The bigger malls that Tampines is known for — Tampines Mall, Century Square, Tampines 1 — are concentrated around the main Tampines interchange one stop east, so most visitors pass through Tampines West rather than stopping here. For residents of this side of the estate it is nonetheless a direct, useful link into the city that did not exist before the Downtown Line arrived in October 2017.
