Bedok Reservoir station in detail

Bedok Reservoir station puts Singapore's inland reservoir almost at the platform door — one exit leads out onto Bedok Reservoir Road, with the water under five minutes' walk north. Bedok Reservoir itself is a popular spot for kayaking, dragon-boating and jogging around its perimeter path, with several water-sports clubs operating out of the sheltered coves along its edge. Away from the water the area is residential, part of the wider Bedok North housing belt, with neighbourhood shops and food centres rather than malls. Weekends bring a steady flow of joggers, cyclists and paddlers heading straight from the station to the water, making this one of the more recreation-focused stops on the eastern half of the line.
