Botanic Gardens station in detail

Botanic Gardens MRT station in Singapore — Circle Line, Downtown Line (CC19 / DT9)
CC19DT9

Botanic Gardens station opens directly onto the Tanglin Gate entrance of the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015 and the only tropical garden to hold that status. The Circle Line and Downtown Line cross here on a shared concourse, making the transfer free and quick, and for anyone approaching from the Downtown Line's north-western stretch it is often faster to loop round on the Circle Line than to change again further into town. Inside the gardens, the National Orchid Garden and the Swan Lake are both within easy walking distance of the Tanglin Gate, and the wider park stays open until midnight, well past the usual closing time for a city garden.

Changing lines here is free. You stay inside the paid area and the fare is worked out once, from the distance of your whole journey.
