Marymount station in detail

Marymount takes its name from the Catholic convent school that once stood in the area, and today the station serves a residential neighbourhood built up around schools including Ai Tong School and Pei Chun Public School. It sits close to the northern fringe of the MacRitchie Reservoir Nature Reserve, reachable by a short bus ride for anyone wanting a longer walk among the rainforest trails rather than the reservoir's busier southern entrances. The station itself is unremarkable by design, one of the plainer stops on the Circle Line, but it is a useful, quiet base for the schools and condominiums that surround it.

Facilities at Marymount
MacRitchie's northern trails from here are quieter than the main reservoir entrances further south; bring water and insect repellent, as there is little shade cover in the first stretch after leaving the bus stop.

Marymount — frequently asked questions
Only the Circle Line calls here — it is not an interchange station. The nearest change is Caldecott, one stop away, where the Thomson-East Coast Line crosses the loop.
The nature reserve’s northern fringe is a short bus ride away rather than a comfortable direct walk from the station, so most visitors take a bus along Marymount Road before joining the trails.
Yes, lifts run from street level down to the concourse and platform, which also has full-height screen doors along its length, as with every station on the Circle Line.
