Marina Bay station in detail

Marina Bay MRT station in Singapore — North South Line, Circle Line, Thomson-East Coast Line (NS27 / CC33 / TE20)
NS27CC33TE20

Marina Bay is a three-line interchange at the southern tip of the CBD, where the North South Line meets the Circle Line and the Thomson-East Coast Line beneath the Marina Bay Financial Centre towers. Since 12 July 2026, when Circle Line Stage 6 opened its final three stations, this has also become part of a complete Circle Line loop rather than a dead end, giving a direct rail route around to HarbourFront that did not exist before. The station serves the office towers of MBFC directly, while the more famous sights of Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay are a bit further round the waterfront, generally reached more directly from Bayfront station instead.

Changing lines here is free. You stay inside the paid area and the fare is worked out once, from the distance of your whole journey.

Tip

For Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay, it is usually faster to take the Circle Line or Thomson-East Coast Line one stop to Bayfront rather than walking from Marina Bay station — the waterfront route around is longer than it looks on a map.
