Gardens by the Bay station in detail

Gardens by the Bay station opened on 23 June 2024, part of the stage that finally pushed the Thomson-East Coast Line out past Marina Bay towards the east coast. It sits close to Marina Barrage and to Bay South, the main and most-visited section of Gardens by the Bay, with the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and the Supertree Grove all within a short walk of Exit 1. It's a genuinely useful alternative to Bayfront station on the Circle and Downtown Lines for reaching the gardens, particularly if you're coming from the Thomson corridor or heading onward to the newer East Coast stretch of the line. Just east of the station, a further stop for the future Founders' Memorial is already built but sits unused, skipped by every train until the memorial itself opens in 2028.
