Marine Parade station in detail

Marine Parade opened on 23 June 2024 beneath Marine Parade Road, serving one of the East Coast's best-known shopping addresses: Parkway Parade, alongside newer developments i12 Katong and Katong Square. A direct linkway connecting the mall to the station began construction in December 2024, intended to finish by 2027, so for now it's a short walk rather than a covered one. East Coast Park and its beach, cycling paths and seafood restaurants are a five-to-ten minute walk south of the station. Marine Parade is also one of the first MRT stations with underground bicycle parking, reflecting how many residents in this stretch of the East Coast cycle to the platform rather than walk or bus in.
