Punggol station in detail

Punggol station is both an MRT/LRT interchange and the gateway to Waterway Point, a mall split into east and west wings connected by a 24-hour walkway called The Boardwalk. That same walkway leads straight through to Punggol Waterway Park, a 25-hectare stretch of green space along Singapore's longest man-made waterway, connecting Punggol and Serangoon reservoirs — one of the most pleasant riverside walks in the north-east. The Punggol LRT's two loops radiate from here, feeding the surrounding new town, and changing between MRT and LRT is free within the paid area.
Changing lines here is free. You stay inside the paid area and the fare is worked out once, from the distance of your whole journey.
