Bukit Gombak station in detail

Bukit Gombak is a quiet, mostly residential station between Bukit Batok and Choa Chu Kang, known locally as the gateway to Little Guilin. Exit B puts you on Bukit Batok East Avenue 5, from where it is about an eight-minute walk to Bukit Batok Town Park, where granite quarry cliffs and a still lake have earned the spot its nickname, after the scenic Chinese city of Guilin. The station also sits beside Bukit Gombak Stadium and Sports Hall, used for community sports and the occasional public event. Away from the park and stadium, the surrounding streets are low-rise HDB blocks with a handful of neighbourhood shops rather than a shopping mall, so most visitors pass through quickly on their way to the quarry.
