Yishun MRT station

Yishun station in detail

Yishun is one of the busiest stations on the northern half of the line, anchored by Northpoint City, a large two-wing mall connected directly to the concourse with a cinema, rooftop garden and one of the bigger food courts in the north. Khoo Teck Puat Hospital is about eight minutes' walk from Exit C, close enough that many patients and visitors walk rather than take a bus. Yishun Pond, a small park with a boardwalk over the water, sits just behind Northpoint City and is a popular spot for an evening walk. The town itself has occasionally made national headlines for unrelated reasons, but the station and surrounding estate are as ordinary and functional as any other in the north.

Facilities at Yishun
If you are visiting Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Exit C is the most direct route and the walk is manageable in about eight minutes; the free shuttle bus is a better option if you have limited mobility or are visiting in the rain.
Yishun — frequently asked questions
Yishun (NS13) is on the North South Line only, between Khatib and Canberra. It is not an interchange station, though it is one of the busier single-line stops on the network thanks to Northpoint City and Yishun Bus Interchange.
Leave via Exit C, D or E onto Yishun Avenue 2, then head south towards Yishun Central — it is about an eight-minute walk, or take the free shuttle bus if you prefer not to walk.
Yes, the paid concourse links directly into Northpoint City, so you can walk from the platform straight into the mall without going outside. Both of its wings, plus the bus interchange, are reachable under cover in wet weather.
