Changi Airport station is the final stop on the East West Line's shuttle branch and the rail gateway to one of the world's most highly rated airports. It lies underground between Terminals 2 and 3 and gives direct access to both, with Terminal 1 reached via the free Skytrain and Terminal 4 by shuttle bus. Because the branch is a shuttle running only between Tanah Merah, Expo and Changi Airport, travellers arriving from the city always change trains at Tanah Merah — there is no direct through-service from town.
