Kallang station in detail

Kallang is the closest East West Line station to the Singapore Sports Hub, home to the National Stadium, and to the Kallang Riverside area along the Kallang Basin. It is not directly linked to any of these by an indoor walkway, so the walk to the stadium takes about 10–15 minutes, but on event days the station becomes noticeably busier with crowds heading to concerts and sports fixtures. Away from events it is a fairly ordinary transfer point between residential Kallang and the fringe of the city.

Facilities at Kallang
On event nights at the National Stadium, allow extra time and expect queues at the gates after the show ends — many visitors find it quicker to walk a stop further to Stadium station on the Circle Line instead, which sits right at the venue.
