Pasir Ris station in detail

The eastern terminus of the East West Line sits above ground on the edge of Pasir Ris town, one stop from where the line used to end before Tampines and Simei were added. Pasir Ris is a residential new town built around a long stretch of coastal park, and the station is the main gateway to it: the bus interchange and White Sands mall are directly linked, and the beach and park are a short walk north. Trains reverse here, so it is also a reliable place to be sure of a seat heading back into town at busy times. Because it is the end of the line, every train that arrives terminates and every departure starts empty.

Facilities at Pasir Ris
Because Pasir Ris is a terminus, waiting on the platform for a couple of minutes after a train arrives usually gets you a seat rather than boarding a train that is already full from further down the line. Useful on weekday evenings.

Pasir Ris — frequently asked questions
Pasir Ris (EW1) is served only by the East West Line and sits at its eastern end of the network. It is not an interchange station, so there is no need to check a platform display for your destination — every train here is heading the same way, into town.
Yes. Lifts connect the elevated platform to the concourse and to street level, alongside stairs and escalators, and the same lifts serve the link into White Sands mall, so wheelchair and pram users can reach the bus interchange without using steps.
Exit towards White Sands and head north; the park entrance is roughly a 10-minute walk, or take a short bus ride from the interchange below the mall.
