Bayfront station in detail
Bayfront changed its number as well as its role when the Circle Line loop closed on 12 July 2026: what was CE1 on the old Marina Bay branch is now CC34, folded into the main loop rather than sitting at the end of a short spur. The Downtown Line still meets it here as DT16, on a shared concourse, so the transfer between the two lines is unchanged and still free. Above ground, Bayfront is the stop for Marina Bay Sands — the casino resort with the rooftop infinity pool and SkyPark — and for Gardens by the Bay, where the Supertree Grove and the Cloud Forest and Flower Dome conservatories draw visitors from across the island and beyond. Few stations on the network see more tourist traffic than this one.

Facilities at Bayfront
Bayfront gets very busy in the evenings for the Gardens by the Bay light shows and the Marina Bay Sands fountain display — arrive at the platform early for a better chance of a seat, or walk one stop to Promenade for a quieter boarding.

The Circle Line and the Downtown Line (DT16) meet on a shared concourse here, so the transfer between them is free and takes only a minute or two to cross.
Both are within a few minutes’ walk of the station exits; Marina Bay Sands is closer, with Gardens by the Bay a further five to ten minutes on foot.
