A short ride from Pasir Ris, Tampines is the regional hub for the eastern suburbs and one of only three places on the network with an out-of-station interchange: the East West Line platforms and the Downtown Line platforms sit in separate but linked buildings, so you tap out, walk across, and tap back in.
