Chinese Garden station in detail

Chinese Garden station is named for and sits beside the Chinese Garden and adjoining Japanese Garden, a large landscaped park built around Jurong Lake with pagodas, bonsai gardens and seasonal lantern displays. Beyond the park the immediate surroundings are mostly residential, and the station is less busy than neighbouring Lakeside and Boon Lay, making it a relatively calm stop for a walk in the gardens or a visit during a festival, with far fewer crowds than the malls further along the line.
