Dhoby Ghaut station in detail

Dhoby Ghaut is a triple interchange, where the North South, North East and Circle Lines all meet beneath the southern end of Orchard Road. It is one of the more complex stations to navigate on paper, but the concourse is well signposted, and Plaza Singapura links directly into it for shopping and a large cinema. The Istana, the official residence of Singapore's President, is a short walk away, though its grounds are only open to the public on select public holidays. The Cathay, a heritage cinema-and-retail building, sits just across the road, giving the area a mix of old and new that is less common further up Orchard Road.
Changing lines here is free. You stay inside the paid area and the fare is worked out once, from the distance of your whole journey.
