Bukit Batok station in detail

Bukit Batok is a straightforward residential stop on the stretch between Jurong East and Bukit Gombak, built into the base of West Mall, which also houses Bukit Batok Public Library. The estate around it has been substantially rebuilt over the past two decades, and the station's four exits fan out to schools, the Civil Service Club and Bukit Batok Bus Interchange next to the mall. Long-time residents still use it as the reference point for the hillier, greener part of the west — Bukit Batok Nature Park and the old quarry cliffs known as Little Guilin are both a bus ride or a fairly long uphill walk from here, rather than a direct stroll from the station itself. For the closer, better-known Little Guilin lookout, most people actually go one stop further to Bukit Gombak instead.

Facilities at Bukit Batok
West Mall's basement links directly into the paid station area, useful for staying under cover on a hot day. For Little Guilin, it is quicker to go one stop to Bukit Gombak and walk from Exit B there than to try reaching it on foot from here.
Bukit Batok — frequently asked questions
Bukit Batok (NS2) is served only by the North South Line, one stop north of the shared platforms at Jurong East. There is no interchange here — for the East West Line or other lines, change at Jurong East or further along at Bishan and Newton.
Yes. West Mall sits directly above the station, and the paid concourse links into its basement, so you can walk from the platform into the mall, the library and the bus interchange without going outside.
Little Guilin, in Bukit Batok Town Park, is not a direct walk from this station — it is closer to Bukit Gombak, one stop north, where it is about an eight-minute walk from Exit B. From Bukit Batok itself, a short bus ride is more practical.
