Raffles Place station in detail

Raffles Place is the historic centre of Singapore's financial district, where the North South Line meets the East West Line beneath the cluster of bank towers that gives the area its skyline. On weekdays the station is at its busiest during the morning and evening office rush, when it handles some of the heaviest foot traffic on the entire network, while weekends are noticeably quieter. Boat Quay, a row of restored shophouses turned restaurants and bars along the Singapore River, is a short walk away, and One Raffles Place links directly into the station for shopping and dining without needing to step outside.
Changing lines here is free. You stay inside the paid area and the fare is worked out once, from the distance of your whole journey.

Facilities at Raffles Place
Avoid changing lines here between about 8 and 9 in the morning if you can — the concourse fills with office workers, and the walk between platforms takes noticeably longer than it does outside the weekday rush.
