Boon Keng station in detail

Boon Keng is a quiet residential stop in the Kallang area, better known to locals than to visitors. The most striking sight nearby is the Central Sikh Temple, Singapore's first gurdwara, which relocated to its current site on Towner Road in 1986 and sits only a couple of minutes' walk from the station. Nearby too is the Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple on Serangoon Road, and the older housing blocks around the station give a sense of the estate Singapore built in the decades before the North East Line arrived. It is a useful stop for the Bendemeer neighbourhood rather than a destination in its own right.

Facilities at Boon Keng
There is little reason to break a journey here unless you are visiting the Central Sikh Temple or staying in Bendemeer — it is one of the quietest stations on the line, so trains and platforms are rarely crowded even at peak hours.
