Sembawang station in detail

Sembawang serves one of the older towns in the north, built up around the former British naval base that gave the area its name. Sun Plaza, the main neighbourhood mall, sits just north of the station along with Sembawang Bus Interchange, and Sembawang Shopping Centre is a short walk further on. The town's better-known attractions — Sembawang Park, with its jetty and old naval buildings, and Sembawang Hot Spring Park, Singapore's only public hot spring — both sit a few kilometres east, comfortably reached by bus or bike but not on foot. Most day-to-day errands, though, are handled within a few minutes of the station itself.

Facilities at Sembawang
Sembawang Hot Spring Park and Sembawang Park are both worthwhile but too far to walk to comfortably — check bus timings before you set off, or hire a bike, rather than assuming either is a short stroll from the station.
Sembawang — frequently asked questions
Sembawang (NS11) is on the North South Line only, between Admiralty and Canberra. It is not an interchange station, so onward journeys to other lines mean travelling further south, typically to Woodlands or Bishan.
It is about 3 km away and not walkable comfortably. Take a bus from Sembawang Bus Interchange next to Sun Plaza, then a short walk to the park — check current routes before travelling.
It is a short, sheltered walk from the station exits rather than a direct underground link, roughly three minutes on foot, past Sembawang Bus Interchange. Sembawang Shopping Centre, a smaller and older mall, is a few minutes further on the same side of the road.
