City Hall station in detail

City Hall sits at the edge of the Civic District, where the North South Line meets the East West Line beneath Raffles City. The former City Hall and Supreme Court buildings, now joined together as the National Gallery Singapore, are a short walk away, as is the Padang, the historic field used for parades and cricket, and St Andrew's Cathedral. Raffles City itself, one of the older integrated developments in the city, links directly into the station concourse with a large basement shopping level. Between the museums, colonial-era architecture and the mall, this is one of the more heavily visited stations on the line for tourists rather than only commuters.
Changing lines here is free. You stay inside the paid area and the fare is worked out once, from the distance of your whole journey.
