Redhill station in detail

Redhill is a quiet residential station serving one of the estates built in the 1950s and 60s along Alexandra Road, with little in the way of tourist attractions nearby. It is used mostly by residents and by workers heading to the offices and light-industrial buildings along Alexandra Road, including some of the tech and media companies that have set up in converted warehouses in the area. There is a small hawker centre and a modest shopping strip close to the station exits, and the surrounding blocks retain much of the character of the original post-war housing estate.

Facilities at Redhill
Redhill has limited food and shopping right outside the station, so if you are passing through rather than visiting the estate, it is usually quicker to continue to Tiong Bahru or Queenstown for a wider choice.

Redhill — frequently asked questions
Redhill (EW18) is on the East West Line only, between Tiong Bahru and Queenstown, and it is not an interchange with any other MRT line.
It is primarily residential; Henderson Waves and the wider Southern Ridges are within reach but are more easily accessed by bus than on foot, since the direct walking route from the station is longer and less direct than it appears on a map.
Yes, lifts connect the elevated platform to street level, providing step-free access for wheelchair users and anyone travelling with luggage or a pram, matching the lift provision found at most other East West Line stations.
