Tanjong Rhu station in detail

Tanjong Rhu opened on 23 June 2024 at the junction of Tanjong Rhu Road and Tanjong Rhu Place, in a quiet, largely residential stretch of Kallang lined with condominiums such as Water Place, Pebble Bay and Sanctuary Green. It sits by the mouth of the Kallang Basin, with the Tanjong Rhu Footbridge leading across to the Singapore Sports Hub and National Stadium in about five minutes, and the Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower offering views back across the Marina Reservoir towards the skyline. Between here and Gardens by the Bay to the west sits Founders' Memorial, a completed but still-closed station that trains run straight past without stopping. It's a peaceful, waterside part of the network rather than a shopping or dining destination.
