Tanjong Katong station in detail

Tanjong Katong opened on 23 June 2024 underneath Amber Road, close to Tanjong Katong Road South and Meyer Road, in the middle of the Katong and Joo Chiat heritage district. It's a good jumping-off point for the area's Peranakan shophouses, antique shops and long-running kopitiams, with Katong Shopping Centre and the Joo Chiat Complex both within walking distance. East Coast Park, the long stretch of reclaimed beach and parkland that runs along Singapore's south-east coast, is under 15 minutes on foot from the station, or a shorter ride further along the line to Marine Parade or Siglap for stations closer to the water. Goodman Arts Centre is also nearby, a handful of minutes away.
