Woodlands North station in detail

Woodlands North sits at the top of the Thomson-East Coast Line, the last stop before trains turn back south towards the city. It opened on 31 January 2020 as one of the line's first four stations, years before most of its neighbours further down the route. The station sits beside Republic Polytechnic on Woodlands North Coast Road, in a still-developing pocket of northern Woodlands. Its bigger role is still to come: an underground concourse here will connect directly into the Woodlands North platform of the Johor Bahru–Singapore RTS Link, the cross-border shuttle to Bukit Chagar in Malaysia, targeted to start operating in January 2027. Until then, this is a quiet terminus, best known locally as the gateway to the boardwalks and jetty views of Woodlands Waterfront Park.

Facilities at Woodlands North
Woodlands North is the end of the line, so trains terminate and depart from here rather than passing through — useful if you want a guaranteed seat heading south towards Orchard or the city during the morning peak.
