Keppel station in detail

Keppel MRT station in Singapore — Circle Line (CC30)
CC30

Keppel opened on 12 July 2026, one of three new stations that closed the Circle Line loop after 17 years of construction in stages. It takes its name from Keppel Road, which runs through the working port area it serves, including PSA International's operations and the warehousing at Keppel Distripark. This part of the southern waterfront has for decades been given over to shipping and logistics rather than housing or shops, and that is still largely true today — the station's main role for now is carrying port and business-park workers rather than visitors. Over the coming years the area is earmarked for the long-term Greater Southern Waterfront redevelopment, as port operations gradually relocate and the land is opened up for new uses, so the streets around Keppel are likely to look very different a decade from now.

Tip

Keppel opened just two days ago, so don't expect much street life yet — the area is still mostly working port and business premises. It's useful for reaching PSA and Keppel Distripark, but that will change as the Greater Southern Waterfront redevelopment proceeds over the coming years.
