Upper Thomson MRT station

Upper Thomson station in detail

Upper Thomson opened on 28 August 2021 beneath Upper Thomson Road, at the junction with Bright Hill Drive, and Exit 1 leads straight into the ground floor of Thomson Plaza — a long-standing neighbourhood mall that has become a genuine dining destination since the TEL arrived, with newer bistros and grocers alongside older tenants. Beyond the mall, the surrounding stretch of Upper Thomson Road is one of the better-known food streets on the north side of the island, lined with shophouses, cafés and restaurants that predate the MRT by decades. It's a useful base for a slower, more local look at Singapore away from the more touristed parts of the network, with good bus connections onward towards Marymount and the Central Catchment nature areas.
