Clarke Quay station in detail

Clarke Quay station sits beneath the riverside entertainment district of the same name, where restored godowns along the Singapore River have been converted into restaurants, bars and nightclubs. By day the area is quieter and more scenic, with river cruise boats departing from the jetties and joggers using the riverside promenade; by night, Clarke Quay's covered walkways and coloured lighting make it one of the busiest nightlife strips in the city. A short walk north-west takes you up into Fort Canning Park, a green hill with colonial-era relics and archaeological sites that once served as the seat of medieval Singapore's rulers.
