Springleaf MRT station

Springleaf station in detail

Springleaf opened on 28 August 2021 as part of the TEL2 stretch that first brought the line into the north of the island, sitting under Upper Thomson Road close to the Yishun border. Its three entrances serve the Springleaf Nature Park directly, as well as the older Thong Soon residential estate and a run of shophouses along Upper Thomson Road. Inside the station, an Art-in-Transit piece called Tree of Memories by Koh Hong Teng reflects the greenery outside. It's a quieter station than most on the line — no mall, no office towers — better suited to a short nature walk or a plate of local food than a day of sightseeing, and a useful base if Lower Peirce Reservoir's trails are on your list.
