Nibong station in detail

Nibong MRT station in Singapore — Punggol LRT (PW5)
PW5

Nibong takes its name from a traditional Malay stilt village once found in this part of Singapore, and it was one of the first West Loop stations to open, back in 2014. It's a residential stop serving the newer HDB blocks of the Northshore precinct, five stops out from Punggol, without a mall or major landmark attached directly — just the coffee shops and small parades of shops typical of the rest of the network. From here the return trip to Punggol is noticeably shorter than the ride out, at three stops via Sumang and Soo Teck.
