Cashew station in detail

Cashew MRT station in Singapore — Downtown Line (DT2)
DT2

Cashew is the first stop after Bukit Panjang, a short underground hop through the low-rise housing of the Bukit Timah hill district. Above ground the station serves the private estates around Chestnut Drive and Petir Road — condominiums such as Foresque Residences among them — plus a scattering of landed housing tucked into the slopes. There is little in the way of shops right at the exits, which suits residents fine: this is one of the quietest stations on the line, closer to nature reserves than to nightlife. Dairy Farm Nature Park and the wooded trails around Hindhede Quarry are a bus ride or a longer walk away, making Cashew a useful, low-key access point to the green belt that runs along Upper Bukit Timah Road.
