King Albert Park station in detail

King Albert Park sits at the western end of Bukit Timah Road, in a corridor of private condominiums and landed housing rather than the shophouse clusters found further along the line. Its most distinctive neighbour is the old Bukit Timah Railway Station, a preserved 1915 building a short walk away — a relic of the Malayan Railway line that once ran the length of the island and is now part of the Rail Corridor, a green walking and cycling trail. The station also serves Methodist Girls' School and Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School, making the morning and afternoon school runs its busiest periods. There is little in the way of malls right at the exits; most residents use King Albert Park purely to get in and out rather than to shop.

King Albert Park — frequently asked questions
It’s not the closest station — Beauty World, one stop away, has the shorter walk. King Albert Park is better placed for the Rail Corridor and the old Bukit Timah Railway Station instead.
Methodist Girls’ School and Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School are both within walking distance, which is why the station gets noticeably busier around school start and dismissal times.
