Damai station in detail

Damai, whose name means "peaceful" in Malay, is the last stop on the East Loop before it curves back into Punggol, and it's the closest LRT station to the Nature Cove section of Punggol Waterway Park, about a ten-minute walk away along Punggol Road. Marina Country Club and the vicinity of Mee Toh School sit within the station's catchment too, giving this stretch a slightly different character from the purely residential stops earlier on the loop. Being last on the loop has a practical upside: the ride back to Punggol is just one stop, the shortest return trip anywhere on the East Loop.
