Cheng Lim station in detail

Cheng Lim is named after the former Cheng Lim Farmway and the farms that once stood here before Sengkang's new town swallowed them, and it opened comparatively late, in 2013, once enough of the surrounding development was ready. Its standout feature is a direct pedestrian bridge to Sengkang General and Community Hospital, about a minute's walk from the platform, making this the closer of the two LRT stations serving the hospital campus. It's the first stop out from Sengkang on the West Loop, so getting here is quick — but because the loop only runs one direction, getting back means either walking to Sengkang or riding the long way round through the remaining seven West Loop stations.

For the hospital, walk — the pedestrian bridge from the platform takes about a minute, which beats waiting for a train even if you technically could ride one stop. If you do board heading away from Sengkang, remember the loop only goes one way, so there's no quick reverse.
Cheng Lim — frequently asked questions
Cheng Lim (SW1), linked by a direct pedestrian bridge about a minute from the platform — the closest of the two hospital-adjacent stations, the other being Compassvale on the East Loop.
One, heading out on the West Loop. Returning the other way around involves the full remaining loop — Farmway through Renjong — since West Loop trains run in a single direction.
It’s a short walk along the road, sometimes quicker than waiting for a train that has to loop all the way round to get you back to the interchange.
