Woodleigh MRT station

Woodleigh station in detail

Woodleigh station has an unusual history: it was built with the rest of the North East Line back in 2003 but stayed closed for eight years, waiting for the surrounding Bidadari estate to be developed, before finally opening to the public in June 2011. That estate has since grown into one of Singapore's newer residential districts, and Exits A and E now lead straight into The Woodleigh Mall, a retail centre set among landscaped gardens. The nearby Woodleigh Bus Interchange, part of the same integrated development, opened in April 2025, and Alkaff Lake and the Bidadari Park green spaces are both within easy walking distance.
